Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.

RISE funding sponsored by Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities has been given 1.6 million dollars to sponsor a program called RISE (Relief in State of Emergency) fund.  This program is to provide funding for those individuals who did not  qualify for the stimulus check, the $1200.  Enrollment is done by a specific phone number deepening on the last name.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of direct impact by COVID-19
  • At or below the 200% Federal Poverty Level based on household size
  • Proof of residency in Austin / Travis county
  • Client may not be eligible for assistance through the CARES Act program
  • Client may not have already received assistance from the following organizations as part of the RISE Funding contract:
    • The Good Samaritan
    • Asian Family Support Services of Austin
    • Austin Area Urban League

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Income verification
    • Pay stub;
    • Medical insurance card;
    • Food Stamp Card; or
    • Self-declaration of gross family income and household size for all household residents age 18 years or older
  • Proof of residence in Austin / Travis County
    • Government-issued ID
    • Utility bill with your name
  • Documentation of loss of income due to COVID-19
    • Separation or furlough letter from your employer; or
    • Two most recent pay stubs

To apply, call the phone number which corresponds with the first letter of your last name. *** If a case manager is unable to answer the phone, please leave a voicemail and you will receive a call back as soon as possible. There is no need to call multiple times, as this will not put you higher in the queue, and could overload our phone system. ***
