What is the Election Committee?
The Election Committee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the Post’s officer elections. Acting as a neutral and impartial body, the committee ensures that every eligible member has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the nomination process for all elected Post officer positions
Verifying the eligibility of nominees and voters in accordance with the Post bylaws and membership standing
Preparing ballots (written or electronic) and ensuring clear voting procedures
Overseeing the voting process during the official election meeting
Counting and validating votes in a transparent and accurate manner
Certifying and announcing election results to the membership
